Open-arm chair on cabriole legs, each knee carved with a ram's head — a hallmark of the William Kent-influenced Palladian style of the 1720s–40s — descending to carved claw-and-ball feet. Scrolled, outset arms with carved terminals frame a generously upholstered back and seat, covered in a red-and-gold floral damask with brass nailhead trim. The ram's-head knee is one of the more elaborate period motifs, typically reserved for higher-end library and parlor chairs of the Kentian school.
