Vintage Haviland Limoges “Torse” Tea & Coffee Service, Set of Four
A sculptural four-piece porcelain service by Haviland Limoges in the Torse pattern, defined by deep spiral fluting that twists continuously around each form. The tall coffee pot, rounded teapot, covered sugar bowl, and creamer are finished entirely in white, allowing the architecture of the porcelain to take center stage.
Introduced in the postwar period, Torse White was produced by Haviland from 1962 onward. The exaggerated curves, scalloped lids, and elongated spouts give the service a wonderfully surreal quality, somewhere between traditional French porcelain and mid-century sculpture.
This set is part of the Flamingo Estate Objects Collection, a working library of pieces selected for their beauty, character, and ability to transform a table or image. It has been used in Flamingo Estate photoshoots and styling.
