Ingredients
Dried Hibiscus Flowers2 cups
Water6 cups
Piloncillo(dehydrated sugar cane) 1/2 of one (they sell them in small tubes at stores like Vallarta) OR brown sugar to taste, just to sweeten up a bit
Cinnamon 1 stick
Salta touch to bring out the sweetness
Limesa squeeze as needed
Steps
- Bring water to boil and add hibiscus flowers; cook for 10 minutes. Add sugar and salt, stir and then strain the flowers. Chill and serve over ice as is or as a cocktail base, like a margarita.
